The Gangster Paradise Experience

I work as an audit professional at Roger Yue & Associates. It is a serious and stressful job. But at our last annual dinner, something amazing happened. We had our annual dinner in 2023. And the theme was Gangster Paradise!

How I Became a Gangster for a Night

I was so excited when I heard about the theme. I always wanted to dress up like a gangster. I bought a black suit, a fedora hat, and a fake gun. I also wore a gold chain and sunglasses. I looked like a RYA gangster boss!

When I arrived at the venue, I was amazed by the decorations. There were posters of famous gangsters, like Al Capone and Scarface. There were also neon lights and machine guns. It felt like I was in a movie.

How I Had Fun with My Colleagues

The best part of the night was having fun with my colleagues. They also dressed up like gangsters. Some of them wore leather jackets, bandanas, and tattoos. Some of them wore pinstripe suits, bow ties, and cigars. They all looked awesome!

We had a lot of fun activities. We acted like we were playing poker, roulette, and blackjack. We danced to hip-hop and rap music. We took selfies and group photos. We also had lucky draws and door gifts. I won a mobile phone. How lucky!

How I Enjoyed the Food

The food was delicious too. There was a buffet of western food and typical rice dishes. But the highlight was the roasted lamb. It was so tender and juicy. It melted in my mouth. I had two servings of it.

The dessert was also amazing. There were cupcakes, brownies, and ice cream. They all had gangster-themed decorations on them.

How I Felt After the Night

The night was over too soon. I had a blast with my colleagues. I felt closer to them than ever before. We laughed, joked, and shared stories. We forgot about our work stress for a while.

I learned that my colleagues are not just audit professionals. They are also fun-loving and carefree people. They have different personalities and interests.

I am so grateful to Roger Yue & Associates for organizing this event. It was a paradigm shift for me. It was a refreshing change from our working environment. It was a gangster paradise!
